Does anyone know a good web hosting site fairly cheap or free?

I%26#039;m trying to start a website but I was wondering what I should use to host my websites. some websites I see stories how their website dissapeared because the company went bankrupt or their system got overloaded and other things. So does anyone know a good web hoster that is cheap. Also my friend is looking to move a site to a different web hoster. Any ideas how to move the same site without redesigning the whole site again. Thanks!

I would like to suggest following webhosting which I use, they are excellent.

They offer hosting of %26quot;unlimited domains%26quot; and you will get massive webspace of 300000 MB (300 GB ). They only charge $5.95/month and they offer %26quot;a free Domain Name%26quot; and installing service called %26quot;Fantastico%26quot;. By using Fantastico, you could create own forum, photo gallery, shopping cart (e-commerce),your own auction site and your own blogs within few seconds. They also offer %26quot;Free Website Builder%26quot; as well.

Visit the site to check details.

I used this website:

www.moonfruit.com

It is very cheap and really easy to set up and publish your web pages.

See the site I made for my wife...

Reply:The web host I use is called Lunarpages. Their url is http://www.lunarpages.com. I have used them for the past year and have no problems at all using them.

As for your friend, to transfer an existing website from one host to another is fairly easy. Backup the entire site onto your computer in a directory you have created.

Upload the site from your backup to the new host. Check all the links and images on your website to make sure they are working. Your site should be ready to go on the new host.

They are only $4.95/month (2.95 if you prepay 2 years.) They are the cheapest host I%26#039;ve seen yet. I even asked them about this and whether they could be a continuing business with prices like that, and they told me they were %26quot;well-funded%26quot; so I don%26#039;t think they will be going bankrupt anytime soon.

Reply:It depends on how many webistes u have, and wht kind of traffic.

If you have a site. which wud get atleast 10,000 visitors a day, i would say go with a bigger provider that can give u a dedicated server.

If you seem to have a smaller website, go for a reputable firm such as 1and1 or godaddy.com. Although, they wont be that cheap/ personised.

Also check out small firms, who give out good rates, and a good mix. I host my sites on a site called primexhost.com. Its hidden, i think its not even advertised, but ive been a customer since 4 years now, and not a single complaint.

About 100 buicks a year gets you a domain, free unlimited hosting, unlimited everythign, with everything inbuilt.

check it out, email the info email address n ask them for a lumpsome amount. it might work . good luck
