One thing is for sure:

you need a domain and a hosting service.

Domain service cannot be bad or good so get the cheapest one. You need a market research for the hosting services.

Will you create html pages or you need a CMS like Joomla? (www.joomla.org)

If it is just html choose the capacity you need (disk space and bandwidth) in the price that suits you. Otherwise you will need some PHP and MySQL with your hosting plan.

I just paid under $12 a month with YAHOO to get a website started. Domain name, same service, less costly; right on the buck.
Reply:Buy a MrSite its the best.

You buy it for around 拢30 and pay around 拢2.99 Subscription per month. It has all the tools you need to design a very professional and good looking website, they have pay pal available to put on your site and it has tools for u to see how many hits you have etc. You can choose the name also.

They look brilliant and you dont have to be a web designer to have a fantastic site at the end of it.
Reply:Are you experienced in web design and development. There is so much information online that you can learn as you go.

123-reg is a good place to start for registration. You can also host it there too.

If you dont have any web experience it is best to go through a page builder from google or yahoo, etc. You can also use a wordpress blog to make a website, but it depends on what you need it for and what yuor message is.

For example, selling products, portfolio, or a service you provide

If you can give a little more information, we can help you and direct you to what would be best for you. (in our opinion)

Reply:Buy the domain separate. The $10 you%26#039;d save otherwise is just not worth the headaches that could arise if you need to transfer hosts later on. It%26#039;s always better to control your domain name yourself, and not give it to someone else to control.

I would also say stop thinking %26quot;cheap%26quot;, it%26#039;s a advertising cost, and a important one with the way most people research businesses nowadays. Put as much into it as you would any other important advertising run.

Reply:I spent 2 years doing everything I could think of to get my website together and I nearly pulled my hair out.

I%26#039;d learn one bit, then search for the info. for the next bit, then find out the 1st bit was wrong... ARGH!

In the end I went on Yahoo Answers and asked if someone could help - one person responded - and within 2 days my website was up and running! PERFECTO. Wow!

Here%26#039;s the website he created for me:

http://www.the-alternative.org.uk

Check it out!

Then email: richard@mybranding.info

He%26#039;ll get your site up and running for little outlay and NO hassle!

That%26#039;s the best advice I can give you.
